In 1994 the population of Indian Bay was 240. The community had two convenience stores, and a gas bar that sold recreational fishing equipment and supplies. Indian Bay has a beautiful park with 14 campsites, a playground, a new trailer park and cabins.
Indian Bay is known for it's sportfishing and serves as a gateway to numerous ponds and brooks in the area. Indian Bay is one of the best spots for Brook trout and salmon fishing in Newfoundland. Indian Bay's pristine wilderness has a lot to offer with its historic beauty, tremendous fishing and tranquil surrounding. To truly appreciate this pristine wilderness come fish in its crystal clear waters.
