Most people never took instructions, they were self-taught you might say. And we tried our best, groups of people would go out on different hills around town and just do their own thing. We had very few instructors in those days; those people who did get instruction were kind of lucky, I suppose. The styles have really changed from the way they ski today and the way they skied then. And also the skis - I was amazed how skis have changed since then.
