Rosemary Eaton, An Activist for Heritage & Environment

Back in Ottawa life returned to its usual rhythms with Shilly Shally still the highlight of the winter season. Friends came and went during the Ottawa years. Some of her old friends had married and moved away, some had young families and others had left for new adventures in other parts of the world. She went west again to visit a couple of good friends who had made their home in Williams Lake, BC. She found the community quite changed from 1954, but soon embraced the cowboy experience photographing scenes of horses, cattle and ranching. Her host, now a well established veterinarian, introduced her to the latter and her subjects included many of his customers and patients. The vet practice generated good photographic material including a story she entitled "From Bulls to Budgies".
