Her Ottawa assignments brought her into contact with many well known Canadians from politicians to artists and authors. Having rubbed shoulders with all walks of life she had no difficulty talking to dignitaries and celebrities and did so in her usual unassuming manner. Any initial apprehension, on either side, disappeared as soon as she began to converse with her subjects. Although she came from a rather class conscious background Rosemary managed to be completely natural with any and all. She established a comfortable rapport that resulted in warm, friendly images that captured the personalities of her subjects. A.Y Jackson, Jean Paul Lemieux and Hugh MacLennan were among her subjects. Friendly, personal letters were often exchanged after a photo shoot.
