Don Stoddard: People around here were just so devastated because that was where they're bread and butter came from. And then all of a sudden now we have no jobs. I know my dad, he come home, and he was just in tears over it. We were so young, we didn't grasp of what he was really saying. But it was just to the effect of "I have no job now. What are we going to do? Everybody has to help out here."
