"When you think of tourism in Queens County, New Brunswick, what comes to mind?"

"When I think of tourism, I don't think of Queens County so much as I think of the communities that are in Queens County. Chipman and the Village of Minto. They both have a rich history of various things like brick factories in Chipman, the lumbering and the mining that was in Minto, and the railroad as well. And that's all history that's being lost because people are not collecting these stories and there's no museum...there's a little tiny museum in Chipman to do with the railroad, and a little one in Minto, but it's rarely open. Also there is the history of the community itself. Its rich history of the people and where they came from, and also the buildings - everything that has to do with the community. And the longer we wait, of course the more stories and artifacts that we're going to lose. I'm personally involved with the New Brunswick Internment Camp Museum, a prisoner of war camp during the Second World War that's located just outside of Minto, and the possibilities - besides the museum - of developing the original site into something like Kings Landing is very realistic. It's just a matter of the will power of government, and talking about governments I think generally politicians that I've dealt with over the last 12 years with the Internment Camp have been very sincere and they have helped some, but I think the bottom line is museums and history are probably at the bottom of their priority list, unless push comes to shove. They do what they can, but it's not what we really are looking for."
