From Al Huble's Diary - Building the Warehouse, 1910August, 1910Monday 1 August Cleaned off ground for warehouse1 and thinned carrots. Joe McNamee started up river today for his winter hunt. Fine cool day. Tuesday 2nd Cleared ground for warehouse and thinned carrots. Fine warm day.Thursday 25th Hauled shakes for warehouse. Correal's canoe arrived from up river. Fine day.Friday 26th Worked building warehouse. Cruiser Right arrived from Burden's camp. Fine day.Saturday 27th Worked shingling warehouse. Right and partner returned to there camp. Wet day.Sunday 28th Stayed at home and done washing and other odd jobs. Shot 6 grouse. Wet day.Monday 29th Worked shingling warehouse. Very wet day. Got wet through and quit about 5 o'clock.September, 1910Wednesday 12th Worked at small cabin and warehouse. Saw a large bear on the beach but did not get a shot at him. Fine bright day.Thursday 13th Worked at warehouse. Old Bill came over from his claim for supplies. Cool day with some rain.Friday 14th Went out after horses in morning. Worked at warehouse in afternoon. Raining hard tonight.Saturday 15th Worked at warehouse. Corell's survey party arrived from up river. Some rain.Sunday 16th Worked in warehouse. Ed took Corell's survey party through the rapids. Three men arrived from Ft. George looking for land. Fine day.Monday 17th Worked at store house. Ed went out west and located 3 pre-emptions. Fine bright day.
