Growing Up In Peterborough: A Century of Stories

TRANSCRIPT

Arlene: It was all like country. You went up Monaghan Road and then you turned on where Parkhill is now and that would be like country. You made the loop all the way around and then you know you'd push everybody off the sleigh. We'd walk along and sing. We were always singing because there wasn't anything else to do. That's important to remember because we didn't, we didn't have TV until I was in Grade 13. My brother says that was what was downfall. (laughs) We didn't have TV, so you know you read a lot and you sang a lot.
