Growing Up In Peterborough: A Century of Stories

TRANSCRIPT

Barb: During the Depression years, people coming to our back door asking for food. We'd bring them in for a meal all the time. And I think it was because the railroad track was a few blocks away and they'd hop off and come. Carol: Did everybody do that during the Depression? Did all your neighbours do that? Barb: Yes I think so. I don't know that but I know some friends whose parents did.
