Growing Up In Peterborough: A Century of Stories

TRANSCRIPT

Barb: You'd buy penny candy in those days. Spent a lot of money on penny candy. Well, we had a store down the end of our street. A grocery store, so that was an easy, an easy jaunt down there. But on Sundays we would save our Sunday School collection and go down to Fitzpatrick and Garrity's on the corner of Park and Charlotte and spend our money on penny candy. Gale: You didn't turn it in at the church? Barb: Oh no!
