Bill Evans, Winemaker, Rockway Glen Winery - Bill Discusses that 100% of his Wine Grapes are Grown Locally

So, percentage of grapes used to make wines that are obtained locally? In Rockway, and this would be, I can't imagine a situation that is too much different for the small wineries, 100% of their grapes are local grapes that are used for making their wines. In most instances a winery generally doesn't start up without some access to grapes. It would be kind of foolish to start up a winery and not have your raw material on hand. It usually starts with a vineyard and someone says, "Hey I think I might turn this into making some wine", and a small winery is born, and it sort of works in that direction.
