Interview with Llewellyn Smith, E.D. Smith, - Llewellyn Describes the Positions he has Held Within the Company

My position in the company was really no different than my forefathers. I worked on the farm between ages six and fourteen picking fruit in the summertime. Age fifteen, sixteen and seventeen I spent time in the factory in the jam kitchen and on the packing lines. Age eighteen to twenty-one I was out on the road as a Sales Representative in Quebec and Ontario and served both the retail and the foodservice market. And after university I entered the business on a fulltime basis, first as Export Manager, then as Packaging Supervisor, then moved to the Marketing department and I had experience heading up our Food Service department, which is for Hotels, Restaurants and Catering trades and then our retail division. From there I was Director of Business Development followed by Vice President, President and finally Chairman of the Board.
