Marjorie Rider and Friends in a Pung, used for Catching Coyotes in the Winter.

The Rider family (originally from England, then New Brunswick and the USA), came by train from Kansas to Alberta in 1905, with 10 children, 2 of who were married and had families of their own.

Thomas Rider (the father) purchased SW34-40-21, while young Tom Rider, and Bill and George Andrews (Tom Rider Sr.'s son in laws) filed on homesteads and settled in on Buffalo Lake.
