Interview with John Hall, President and C.E.O. Kittling Ridge Estate Wines and Spirits - John Explains the Closure of Canadian Distilleries
The distilling industry is almost that way that between the years 1985 and 1995, over ten distilleries closed in Ontario, and that was happening while the industry was rationalizing. Fifteen distilleries that were operating in Ontario, most of them got sold and closed down and all of the purchases were foreign purchases. Today there is only three distilleries operating in Ontario, two of them are foreign owned and then there is Kittling Ridge which is the only Canadian owned Canadian distillery operating in Ontario today.
