Francophone ranchers in British Columbia? Mais oui! Since the 1870s, successive generations of francophone ranching families played key roles in the province’s history and cultural richness. Few maintained their French language, but all retained pride in their Francophone heritage. These families, many of mixed European and Indigenous ancestry, left no facet of our culture untouched.
