In 1815, the Fairfield Mission relocated back to the bend at the Thames River, this time on the east bank, immediately across the river from the ruins of the original Fairfield Mission. This mission is referred historically as the New Fairfield Mission. The Fairfield Mission continued well into the late 19th century. Eventually this land became known as Moraviantown, a reservation for the Delaware First Nations that settled in this area during the times of the Fairfield Mission. Today, the reservation continues to thrive.

During the mid 19th century, the original cemetery for the Fairfield Mission, located at the outskirts of the original wilderness mission on the west bank of the Thames River partially relocated to the newly opened Bothwell Cemetery, a non-denominational cemetery that is located approximately 3 kilometres northeast from their original resting place. The following tomb stones represent the people who were laid to rest or relocated to the Bothwell Cemetery.
