You can hear Clancy speak of the importance of cooperation. If workers were negative they ended up with discipline. The idea was to keep the trains moving and the company happy. Clancy remembers waiting for a master mechanic because the engineer hesitated to let Clancy get the derailed train back on the track. The master mechanic agreed with Clancy and gave the engineer demerit points.
