Conrad Misener, born in 1803. In 1832, the "Misener house" was bought for 10 pounds by Conrad. In 1833 he bought 100 acres on the lot where the house was located on Concession 3, lot 10 of Beverly Township. The property was purchased for 100 pounds from Francis William DesRivieres of Montreal. Conrad donated two of these acres that bordered number 5 highway to the community for a Church and burial ground. Conrad owned and operated a sawmill on his property. He is listed as owning a sawmill in the 1857-58 directory of Professional and Business men.

Elizabeth Misener, nee Wells. She and Conrad have nine children together. They are: Lucinda, Jane Eliza, Walter, Dustan, Nicholas, Eldridge, George, Sydney, and Mary Ann. Eldridge and Mary Ann pass away in their childhoods, but the remaining seven children live to old age. They are all born between 1831 and 1854.

Nicholas Misener and his family. Nicholas (1841 - 1924) enrolled in the service militia as 1st class in 1865. By 1868, Nicholas and his family are the principle residents of the "Misener house". Five members of the house are registered as going to school.

Mary Elizabeth Misener nee Roelofson. The Roelofson's were another foundin family in Troy. Mary and Nicholas had four children together. They are: Tryphenia, Chloe, Arthur and George. Chloe lives from April to December of 1870, dying of inflammation.

George Herbert. (1874 - 1954) George inherits half of Nicholas' property, shared with his brother Arthur. He marries Louie Bell Wood, and together they have four children. They are: Fern, Verna, Elory and Gladys.
