Under the Casino was a gift shop. Everyone who came to Grand Bend visited this shop for souvenirs. At the back of this shop was a pavilion which was used for family picnics. The Sunday School had their picnics there also. Behind the casino was a ball diamond where Grand Bend played against neighbouring teams. It was a family affair and all the family went.

The casino was really an attraction. It was strictly run. No one was allowed up to the dance unless you were dressed up. The ladies wore dresses and the men wore suits and ties. Men also had to wear coats to cover up the braces on their pants. Some celebrities have played here, such as Guy Lombardo and Bert Niosi.
