The home, a graceful Queen Anne style, was built and owned by Vincent Reddy, 1920. Vince married an Irish nurse, Margaret McMahon, Cork, Ireland. Margaret had been sponsored by the NONIA group. In 1939, Vince was in the export business and later continued his father's business of a meat market until it closed in 1983. The house was lived in until April 30, 1988 when they sold it to the town of Burin for use as a community museum. Jim and Harriet (Myles) donated many artifacts to the musuem.

Bank of Nova Scotia : Heritage II

December 21, 1894, the Bank of Nova Scotia became the first Canadian Bank to open for business on the island. In October 1910, the Burin branch opened. The building remained a sub-branch to Salt Pond, Burin until it closed in 1991. The building was donated to the town to be a museum and it officially received the name Heritage II.

Each year, the schools of the Eastern School District participate in the Newfoundland and Labrador Heritage Fair. The project "Tsunami" was displayed by Dwayne Gary Hoskins of Sacred Heart Elementary, Marystown, Newfoundland, Canada. The model, now on display at the Burin Heritage Tourism Association Museum displays a typical fishing village in 1929.

The Craft Shop sells local home knitted goods, quilts, photos, books, and homemade jams and pickles.

The Oldest Colony Trust Building and Boardwalk

The Oldest Colony Trust Building, built 1933, was once used as a cold bait storage facility. It is presently used by the Burin Heritage Tourism Association for local entertainment during the summer season. It is also used to host plays from the Arts and Culture Centre and local performances.

A fifth building was added in 2005. The land was donated by the Hollett family. It will be used as a Tea room upon completion.

The Burin Heritage Tourism Association host a stopping point for rest and a meal for the annual Targa car races that tour Newfoundland.
