The Roberts/Fry house was built around 1897 by Robert Bartlett, Moses Percy Roberts and the original owner, Thomas Roberts. Thomas Roberts was a successful fisherman and a saw mill operator, and lived in the home all his life. He had two sons, Harry and Clark. Harry lived in the house a very long time with his wife and her children, one of whom still lives there today. The lady that Harry married was a Fry and that is why it is now referred to as the Fry house.
In the late 1800's Charles Cozens owned the property surrounding the Fry house. At this time, there were four stone buildings on the property, one of them the famous Stone Barn which still stands today. The other three structures were torn down years later.
The Fry house features a mansard roof with three dormers and two large bay windows on the main floor. This home is probably the only older home in Brigus with all the original clapboard and windows.

Although some aspects of this house have been modernized, these old sturdy doors and door knobs have withstood all the wear and tear over the years.
