The logging operation required teams of work horses to haul the pine logs to shores of Red Indian Lake during the winter. Logging camps were built all around the shores of Red Indian Lake at different locations. Transportation of supplies in winter was over the frozen lake from Millertown.

Some were temporary camps for men, and barns for horses, that were used only when logging the area.
