The 1907 Grimsby Park Programme describes the bathing opportunities. "The gradually sloping beach at this well-known resort makes it a perfectly safe place for bathing, and one of the interesting events of the day is the hour when the daily plunge is taken into the limpid waters. Here the sufferer from over-wrought nerves is benefitted by the hours he spends on the sands, soothed by the lulling motion of the water, and diverted by the happy throngs who are finding great delight in their daily bath."

From the 1908 Grimsby Park Programme.

"A new feature for this season will be the Kitchen Garden, under the instruction of Miss Caroline Connor.

In the Kitchen Garden classes, the children are taught the rudiments of housework in a bright, cheerful way. With every occupation an appropriate song is sung, and in this way we hope to train the young girls to enjoy housework."

This photograph shows a group of young girls holding dolls to demonstrate the skill of looking after a baby.
