June the 20th, 1940? Sure, I remember that day quite well, quite vividly. It was a Thursday. It started off like any other day, really. It was early summer and as a result of it being early summer I was out in the farmyard with my father preparing some machinery for putting in the crop. The war was on and I suppose we were all just a little anxious, what with some of the local boys leaving for England.

That morning when the call came in that Hal Dent had been shot over at the station, well that's when all hell broke loose.
