On 3rd May 2005, we had an informal get together with the locals of Orangedale and surrounding areas. These people are involved with the Orangedale Station Association and the Orangedale Museum and have a vast knowledge and memory of working either in the Railway or being involved with the Orangedale Railway Station one way or another.

CN Locomotive 7319 Moncton, NB 1948. This was a six wheeled switcher locomotive and worked for a long time in the yard at North Sydney.

CN Locomotive 6118 Truro, NS December 1940. This was a Northern type locomotive, only 1 Northern type locomotive ever ran to Sydney. It was no. 6119 and it only made one return trip.

CN Locomotive 6012 CLC Mountain type Truro, NS 1955. A sister locomotive to 6008 and used for the same thing, hauling the passenger trains. Another locomotive of this class no. 6014 hauled the first passenger train across the Causeway eastbound on May 14th 1955.

CN Locomotive 6008 Truro, NS 1940. This locomotive and 5 of her sisters hauled passenger trains between Halifax and Mulgrave until the Causeway was completed. After this time these 6 locomotives were used between Halifax and Sydney on the passenger trains.

CN Locomotive 5267 MLW Pacific Passenger Engine. Locomotive 5267 was in several accidents on the mainland and in Cape Breton in which 6 or 7 people were killed in total.
