Expanding the Business(O)ther new channels had been opened up, through specialization in posters for sports day (every little town in the entire Canadian west used to put on a sports day), dance bands, department stores and fairs and exhibitions.
Beginning in 1914, we sent out catalogues each year to sports day committees and all western fairs and exhibitions.
These illustrated in miniature the various pictorial pictures and tack cards we kept in stock ready for immediate imprinting with local copy required. Mail orders became an important factor in our growing volume of business. (Excerpt from Paper, Pen and Ink by Andrew King, Pg 74-5)
