The Lawson site is a 500-year-old Neutral Iroquoian village located in what is now London Ontario. The site is about 1.8 hectares (5 acres) in size, and situated atop a plateau (or bluff) approximately 45 feet (13.7 m) above two streams (Snake Creek on the south side, Medway River on the north side) that intersect at the base. An undisturbed forest of maple and elm covers about 75% of the site. Earthworks (mounds of dirt supporting a palisade, or defensive wall) extend across the eastern limit of the Lawson site, and are partially preserved along the western limit .
