Norwegian Woodcrafts come in numerous forms...from the building of log homes, to furniture building to decorative arts and crafts. Here, in this storyline, you will see pictures illustrating all of these areas of Norwegian woodcrafts. From the raw wood itself being debarked and prepared for building the Laft Hus to members enjoying carving classes where they produce beautiful pieces such as the Viking Head carved by Lucy Ingram.

You will also see how useful woodcrafts are in the planning out of building larger wood structures when you see the intricate models of log homes, stav churches etc. throughout this exhibit.

For more information on Norwegian wood crafts and techniques, please feel free to email the Laft Hus at the address provided!
