Queens County's many parks and nature preserves are popular destinations for visitors who wish to enjoy nature while keeping both feet on the ground!
Several conservation areas and parks within Queens County include walking and hiking trails, many of which include interpretive panels that identify and describe interesting natural and historical features. A number of these sites also include picnic areas, water access, and washrooms in order to provide visitors with comfortable areas to stop for a while and take in their surroundings.
