Country elevators were a common sight on the prairies. Mr. Baker's interest and passion for agricultural issues, made this prairie icon a natural theme in his photographic collection. The distinctive shape as well as the common practice of farmers hauling their grain to the elevators was captured on film by Mr. Baker. Thankfully, Mr. Baker had the foresight to photograph these structures as country elevators are quickly disappearing from the prairie landscape.
