Sports in the valley were encouraged by the mine and it was apparent that there was a great deal of support for youths to participate in sports. The company sponsored some of the events such as hockey and baseball tournaments and skiing competitions. Some people in management were widely known to take part in events in the community.

One of the most enduring traditions that took place in Bralorne was the crowning of the Snow Queen. This event was held year after year in the community hall from the early 1940's through the 1960's. Bralorne had two ski hills by 1960 and many races through the winters with young and old participating in all of them. The newly chosen snow queen would be the presenter of the trophies for these events.
