Corner Brook Canada Games Centre.

The Canada Games Center was constructed for the Canada Winter Games which were held in Corner Brook during February and March, 1999. It features two ice surfaces, a fitness centre, a full banquet kitchen, convention facilities, and has a concert capacity of 4800 in the larger of the two arenas. It also contains the Provincial Hockey Hall of Fame.

The Corner Brook Triathlon is one of the longest and toughest races in the world. Since 1982, the event has grown into an international competition. Corner Brook has become the triathlon capital of Canada and each year we look forward to hosting more exciting events, such as the ITU World Cup Triathalon.

College of the North Atlantic, Corner Brook, 1990's. College of the North Atlantic is Newfoundland and Labrador's public college. It is one of the largest post-secondary educational and skills training centers in Atlantic Canada, offering over 70 full-time programs and more than 300 part-time courses. Formally amalgamated in April 1997, the college operates throughout the Province of Newfoundland and Labrador. While the name is new, the institutions involved have a long history of providing post-secondary education and training to provincial, national and international students and clients.
