LANDING OF 2PZ CABLE IN BAY ROBERTS

In 1882 a cable was laid from Penzance, England to Canso, Nova Scotia. In 1915 this cable was diverted to Bay Roberts by the Cable Ship Faraway. The Canso end was discarded and a new line was run from North Sydney, Nova Scotia. This cable was labeled "2PZ".
