"I purchased my first Ferris wheel from Mr. Davis of River Park. This was an all cash deal and I required some financing for this deal, then I purchased the large merry-go-round, also from River Park, however, the large merry-go-round was too large for my travelling shows so I sold it to an amusement park at Thorton, Rhode Island, USA. Sold it sight unseen and I made a nice profit on this deal, but I regretted selling it afterwards, as so many grown up people had rode on this large merry-go-round when they were kids. It sure would have suited my Rendezvous Park which I built later at Lockport."
