TRANSCRIPT

CD - Connie Duncan, interviewee [with her daughter, Aileen Duncan (AD) present] / LR - Lyn Royce, interviewer

AD: And that's your old car that you had.

CD: Yeah.

LR: 'Flash' is the old car? [chuckles]

AD: Flash. Flash was the dog. And this dog, we lived down on Community Avenue...

CD: Where do you see Flash?

AD: ...down in Stoney Creek and...

LR: Okay...

AD: ...and to get to the Variety Store, we had to cross QE [QEW - Queen Elizabeth Way, multiple lane highway, at least 6 lanes wide at Stoney Creek, Ontario in 2008].

LR: Okay...

AD: So we'd all hang on to one another and someone would be hangin' on to Flash's lead, and we'd say 'Go!' and he'd run us across the road.

LR: Just in the door...

CD: Just in the door...

LR: ... you could just see the shadow of his front paws...

CD: Good 'ol Flash...
