Sheryl Kolt, the Curator of the Transcona Historical Museum, explains the lasting memorials to veterans in Transcona.
"The streets in our community have been named for people who were killed in action. Streets like Atwood Street, Robson Street, Moroz Street, Valde, Larche, Widlake. Parks in our community were also named: Billy McCann Park, and today we have schools that we named for men who also served as part of the war."
