1989 marked the 350th anniversary of the arrival in Québec of the Ursulines and, particularly, of Mother Marie of the Incarnation. A trip to Québec City had been organized for third and fourth-year secondary school students to help them learn more about Mother Marie, the patroness of their school. We visited her tomb and met students from the Ursuline school in Québec City. Later, we saw these students at a play and again during some special meetings for exchange. The trip was a complete success. All of us - students, professors and administrators - were proud of our organized effort. We had taken on the project to maintain the vitality of student life, encourage students to develop a sense of responsibility, offer them an opportunity for cultural enrichment and broaden their knowledge of the Ursulines, those in Québec City as well as in Trois-Rivières.
