The community of Fort Saskatchewan thrived on the efficiency of the force and its contribution of consistent law and order.
Shortly after the turn of the century, the force was renamed to incorporate a 'Royal' status and increased its patrol boundaries to include Alberta, Saskatchewan and Manitoba. Fort Saskatchewan was incorporated as a Town and became a bustling centre of trade with a secure political agenda.
