Trinity Bay’s rustic
coastline.
   This Community Memories
Exhibit tells the story of a
community changing over one
hundred years. Families who
moved to Elliston for the
rich fishing grounds lived
off the land and raised their
children. These children grew

up and raised families of
their own.
   On July 18, 2000,
Elliston became known as "The
Root Cellar Capital of the
World," a title the town
richly deserves with 135 root
cellars used for storing
vegetables, jams and wines.
