America (IWA), a disastrous
move that led to the famous
I.W.A. strike in 1959.
   As this Community
Memories exhibit illustrates,
the town of Point Leamington
has changed considerably over
the years. But from the

salmon fishing of the Beothuk
to the sport of fly fishing
today, from the sawmill to
the swimming pool, "The
River" has remained constant
to this community and its
people.
