This is one of the suitcases that John and Reta brought with them when they flew. It still has its KLM label.

Once John and Reta had children they used this suitcase as a portable baby's bed. John remembers carrying it through deep snow down the long lane to the tenant house on the Fox farm. Henry and Dini Tolkamp, who lived there, provided a gathering place for the young people. When the baby grew tired she was put down to sleep in the suitcase in a bedroom.
