Stanley Collins was a well-known bard at Lake Ainslie. He passed away on Dec. 29, 2003 and is buried at Lake Ainslie. His poetry and songs are a credit to his creative nature and love of an adopted land. A survivor of the Halifax Explosion in 1917, he came to the Lake, learned to play the bagpipes and wrote many songs of praise to both Lake Ainslie and his faith in God.
