Lynda Haverstock, Lieutenant Governor of Saskatchewan, along with the mayor of Humboldt, Dennis Korte, officially opened the Humboldt Telegraph Station exhibit on April 1, 2001 in conjunction with the celebration of Humboldt becoming the 13th city in Saskatchewan. Representing the Humboldt RCMP detachment was Cst. Dean Aspeleiter.44
