The corner store -235 Josephine Street - was the location of W.J. Boyce's plumbing business from 1911 to 1923.

In 1937 after a fire at the National Hotel, the Wingham Public Utilities Commission moved their Hydro Shop to this store in the Stone Block. They sold electrical appliances and light bulbs. They also did electrical contracting work.

The Hydro Shop stayed in this location until 2003. When it moved out, Heather's Fashion Boutique moved in. Prior to moving in, the building block's front was scrapped and repainted.

The next building block is the Gregory block, built by Thomas Gregory. The store next to 239 Josephine Street to the north was an add-on to his block.

In 1903, Gregory bought the front lawn of the Willson house. He cleared the lot and even put a foundation in when he had an opportunity to sell the property to the Canadian Government for the construction of a new post office. He sold the property.

With an urge to build, he tore down the frame building to the south, between his block and the Stone block and added a third storefront.
