Sister Thérèse Germain told me that one of the nuns' first outings after the end of the cloister was a trip to Expo 67 (Man and His World, the Montreal World Fair). At that time, when a woman entered the Ursulines, she had to accept a teaching life within the cloister. As a result, the trip to Expo 67, organized by student nuns after several years of cloistered life, was quite a significant event.
