While she was attending the reception for her solo exhibtion at the Art Gallery of Prince Albert, Wynona commented:

"Many students were exposed to my enthusiastic teaching. I enjoy teaching very much. And if it helped them to form their own philosophies and feel secure in their approach to painting, I am very happy. But, I have no way of knowing how much my teaching influenced people. All I know is that I did it from the heart."

Wynona Mulcaster's comments on the history and impact of the Emma Lake Art School:

"The history of Emma Lake has been very strong in influencing the cultural development of Saskatchewan but I feel that in recent years it hasn't been given the kind of appreciation that it deserves. And there are many people who don't realize that there's magic in that place. And that young students learn something by being there and working together that is very rare and it should continue".
