The "Martin" was a new vessel built a little more than a year ago at Norris Arm and was owned by J.O. Williams & Co. She left here about ten months ago and made a splendid run to Pernambuco, and since then has been engaged in Southern waters. She was returning from Cadiz with a cargo of salt when lost."
