"It was the Inverness train going to Inverness and John who used to be our next door neighbour was the conductor. Anyway they went off on a Saturday evening for Inverness and they got above Port Hastings Junction. The train stopped so John (they knew everyone by first name) was stopped by this fella from Judique who said "whats the matter, why did we stop". John said "there's some cattle on the tracks and we're chasing them off", so that was fine. They started up again and went for a few miles I guess. Anyway they stopped again and the fella come along to John and said "what happened John did we catch up with the cattle again?"- Martin Boston
