After the Great Fire of 1922, the Fire Department received some funds and purchased a 1922 Bickle Ruggles Fire Pumper. It was the first mechanized fire pumper in Northern Ontario and is most likely the only one of its kind in existence.14
Although the Fire Department lost everything in the Great Fire, they rebuilt the Fire Hall (out of brick) and became better equipped and prepared for any future disasters. |
