Where once stood Wah Lee's store now stands Keen's Sporting Goods and the Bank of Nova Scotia.

Wah Lee's store was a combination store, restaurant, and rooms to rent. In 1939 Mr. Wah Lee's nephews, the Keen brothers, succeeded him and that's when the site became part of the Keen's General Grocery and Sporting Goods store.

In the 1950's a second storey was added to enlarge their men's wear department. Today the buildings are one storey.

The Bank of Nova Scotia is located at the corner of Reid Street and Barlow Avenue.

On the east corner of Reid Street and Barlow Avenue you will find Willis and Harpers Hardware and Furniture Store. This building has seen many changes over the years. The store was built in the late 1940's. A second story was added later.

In the 1970's the space where the Kinsley's Drug Store was located which was adjacent to the hardware store became part of Willis and Harpers. Prior to the drug store a huge storage barn was located here.

Willis and Harpers Hardware and Furniture Store celebrated it's 50th anniversary in 1996 and continues to operate today.

Chinese Masonic Hall

In the 1920's on the corner of Reid Street and Barlow Avenue was the Chinese Masonic Hall. Just past the Hall we see an old house that operated a harness and shoe repair store.

A small branch of the Dominion Bank of Canada came after the Masonic Hall and later the Toronto Dominion Bank which takes up three times the original space the Dominion Bank of Canada took when it expanded in 1995.
